Our Mission

St. John’s United Church of Christ Preschool Board is committed to providing a supportive Christian environment for both preschool staff and children, in which all individuals’ talents and abilities are recognized

Our Objectives

St. John’sPreschool offers either a one or two year program to children age’s three to five. Every class has a teacher and an assistant who provide skills development and tender, loving care for the children. We use a whole child approach to encourage and enhance the child’s natural growth and development. We believe that a positive self-concept is essential for success in school and in life. Our main concern is to provide an atmosphere where your child feels good about him/her self and his/her accomplishments. Personal and social development are the top priority in all classes. We provide many learning experiences through curiosity and discovery. We also introduce reading and math readiness skills. We have many toys, games, puzzles, building materials, and art mediums for fine motor skills development during playtime. The children have the opportunity for more active play and large motor skill development with our outdoor equipment or with riding toys, balls and other large muscle equipment in the church’s large fellowship hall.

Classes

Beginners Class

For children who are three years old by August 1^st and four year olds who miss the Pre-Kindergarten birth-date deadline.

Meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 - 11:30 a.m.

Cost is $75.00 per month

Class size, approximately 16 children

Pre-Kindergarten Class

For children who are four years old by August 1^st and five year olds who are not yet in kindergarten.

Meets on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 9:00 – 11:30 a.m. or from 1:00 – 3:30 p.m.
Cost is $90.00 per month

Class size, approximately 18 children.

Registration

We start accepting registration forms in February for the following year.

There is a non-refundable $35.00 Registration Fee for all students.
