Christian Education Ministries

Mission Statement:  The Christian Nurture committee will provide St. John's with a wide range of nurturing and educational experiences.  These experiences will fulfill the vows made by the congregation at our children's baptisms, assist our youth in developing a relationship with God and provide opportunities for spiritual growth for adults.

Sunday School for Children ages 4 through 6th grade are held during the 10 am worship service.  Children attend church with their families until after the children’s sermon.  Classes are held for the following age groups:

Confirmation Class is held for 7th and 8th graders on Sundays from 9 to 11 am from September to May.  The goal of the confirmation/teen class is to help students develop a relationship with God, teach them to follow Jesus and train them to serve God in this world.  Older teens that have been confirmed enjoy participating as role models while they continue to learn.  The teaching team consists of adults as well as teens.  Visitors are welcome.
