Seventh Sunday after Christmas
As we unite in worship today, we extend a warm welcome to each one present. We are glad to have you sharing in our celebration of worship. We invite you to sign our guest book in the Narthex and take a “Welcome” brochure. The “Welcome” brochures contain more information about St. John’s United Church of Christ, as does our website, www.stjohnsmc.org. Also, please read and fill out the visitor card in your pew rack. For your convenience, childcare is provided each Sunday, 9:00 - 11:15 a.m., in the preschool playroom. During 8:00 a.m. worship, a quiet room is available for parents, or grandparents, to comfort their children. Following worship, join us for refreshments in the Fellowship Hall. A church member will be happy to show you the way.

TREE OF LIFE
We have many occasions to celebrate with special birthdays, marriages, baptisms, and anniversaries, and to mourn loss of loved ones. What better way to remember them than with a leaf on our Forever Tree. For a minimum donation of $50, you can add your special remembrance to the tree. If you are interested, please see the office.

THANK YOU
The St. John’s Ladies’ Bible Study group received the following letter of appreciation from the PACT/Bradley Center (a U.S. Bureau of Prisons Residential Reentry Center), 132 E. 6th St., Michigan City:
“Dear St. John’s Bible Study Group,
We at the Pact/Bradley Center truly appreciate all that you have done for our residents’ little angels. For a few hours, this place was transformed. It wasn’t about being an
inmate. It was about family. Parent-child bonds were strengthened. Hearts were reunited. Through your generosity, this year’s party was a great success! In fact, it was the best we ever had! We were able to provide gifts for all of the children, plenty of food, and a wonderfully entertaining evening. The children’s eyes were as bright as the lights on the Christmas tree all night long. You have made a wonderful difference in several lives. We could not provide this wonderful party each year without the ongoing support of good people like you. Please accept our sincere gratitude and appreciation.
Sincerely, The Bradley Center Staff, Residents, and Families”
